After a busy couple of weeks, we’re back with a big update on our farmhouse renovation! 🏡 Over the past two weeks, we’ve installed beautiful wood flooring throughout the main level and tiled 2 ½ bathroom showers. In week 7 of our farmhouse renovation, the vision is really starting to take shape! 🎨 We painted and reassembled the kitchen cabinets, giving them a fresh, updated look. In the living room, we added beadboard to all the walls and prepped it for painting. Every little detail is bringing us closer to making this 1878 home our own. It’s week 6 of our farmhouse renovation, and we’ve officially started painting! 🎨 Before we could dive in, we spent countless hours prepping: plastering walls, stripping varnish, stain, and old paint from the wood, and even removing ceiling beams. It’s week 4 of our 1878 farmhouse renovation, and we’ve made huge strides! The living room and hallway now have new subflooring, we’ve purchased more cabinets, and all three bathrooms are tiled and ready for the next steps. Plus, an unexpected visit from a former resident—an ancestor of Reese Llewellyn, who built this home—gave us a fascinating glimpse into the history of this historic property. Our renovation journey continues as we make big strides inside our 1878 farmhouse! This week, we rearranged the kitchen cabinets to create a more functional layout, tore out old flooring to prepare for the next phase, and wrapped up a major milestone—replacing outdated polybutylene pipes with brand-new PEX plumbing. Snow may have arrived outside, but the real work is happening indoors as we get closer to move-in day. Take a look at how far we’ve come!
